EVATON.- If you haven’t caught wind of Leqhwa aka Xolane Elliot Kgorane, then you have been socially distanced from one of the most exciting rising stars to come out of the Vaal.
The rapper, singer and producer from Evaton has taken his time over the years to compose charismatic music over catchy beats.
Leqhwa has been inserting his name into conversations as one of the most entertaining live performers out right now. From charting on local radio stations, to participating in rap contests such as the Street Beat, Slaghuis Cypher, the TouchHD Cypher, and Metro FM Rap Activity Jam to name a few.
This local artist has spent much of his time perfecting his craft and is now looking to position himself as a champion whose name will be known by spectators everywhere.
EasternVille Music is proud to present the ‘I’m a Champion’ Ep aka ICE Project by Leqhwa. This project serves as an Ice Breaker for his anticipated debut album set to be released later in 2021.
Leqhwa’s project proves that he is an ambitious contender coming down the field with a spectacular combination of singing and rapping. “The ICE Project captures my passion and eagerness to show the world what I’m made of. Not only am I from the VAAL, I’m also Versatile At All Levels (V.A.A.L). I have something special to offer to South African music as a producer, singer, as well as a rapper.” said Leqhwa.
The EP draws from genres such as Amapiano and Trap Music that have influenced the current urban sound. It also features his successful collaboration with DJ X ANGEL, guest appearances by 1020 Cartel signee Anzo, the SAVANNA Comedy Choice Award nominee and entrepreneur Teboho Theoha, SAMA award winning Ragga artist Black Dillinger, the multi-award winning SA Rap Icon Ntukza from Teargas, and a special (voice clip) appearance by the infamous Nota Baloyi.

Leqhwa is not only releasing the ICE Project but he’s also publishing a book .
The book is titled “Botjhabela Ba Lekoa” co-written with the award-winning Author, Vincent Kheswa.
