Gogo demands salary from Elderly Centre

“Two month have passed and nothing is coming my way."

BOIPATONG. – “Two month without salary is too much, I have had enough and now I want my money.” 87-year- old Rahab Tau has come out to say that she has not been paid for two months by the Ikemeleng Elderly Center in Boipatong where she is employed as a cooker. One of the board members had since promise to arrange with the center manager on how I will be paid. “Two month have passed and nothing is coming my way. I only see other employees smile all the way to their bank at the end of the month,” she said. Tau started to volunteer when the Centre was established by Damaris Malatji in 2011. “At the time we knew that there was no source of income.  Later the Department of Social Development rescued them,” she said. A board member has promised that Tau will receive a salary equal to all other employees soon.
