Coach ‘Happy’ is happy with his contribution in development

"We give our players education at a young age. We all know that football is a short-term career and there must be a place between football and education."

SEBOKENG.- Paseka “Happy” Moqholosane is one of the development coaches who  has produced household names in South African football, yet he is underrated. This Junior Lions FC founder/coach has produced many players, not only professionals but also academics. Moqholosane was recruited by the late Mahlomola “Taylor” Mokoena in coaching and in 1999 he established Junior Lions FC. The club became a household name in local football dominated the junior football especially with the u/17 and u/19. Some of the notable names that Sedibeng Ster Sport profiled while still playing for this football club are Thabo Rakhale, Thabo Monyamane and Mfiki Mthimkulu. “I must say as much as we develop players but for Junior Lions Football Club, we develop players beyond the field of play. We give our players education at a young age. We all know that football is a short-term career and there must be a place between football and education. Players like Rakhale and Monyamane  have managed to balance the two. They have something to fall back on should something happen to their football careers. I’m very proud to see them on television today knowing that they are products of Junior Lions,” said Moqholosane.
