EVATON.- Itumeleng Sehloho was blessed with a much clearer vision yesterday when Deputy Minister of Social Development Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu donated assistive devices to him, which will improve his access to learning.
The 10-year-old partially sighted pupil from Motsewapele Primary School in Evaton was showered with a device that will help him improve his reading and learning in class.
Partially sighted herself, deputy minister utilises many assistive devices for her daily work. She took a decision to donate her old devices to children in need of these devices who are attending mainstream schools when she replaces hers.
The donation formed part of Bogopane-Zulu’s #50GoodDeeds campaign.
Among the government officials who attended the handing over of the device was Gauteng Social Development MEC Morakane Mosupyoe and Emfuleni Local Municipality Speaker, Maipato Tsokolibane.
