Police investigate after body found dumped in Rietfontein Farms

The police are investigating the murder of an unknown African male in his thirties after a body was found lying in the bushes in Rietfontein Farms.

Orange Farm police spokesperson Shaan Motsapi reports that police received a complaint of a murder on Friday. “On arrival police found a body of an unknown man lying in the bushes next to the road. The deceased had sustained multiple injuries.“

He was wearing a blue T-shirt with a Mercedes Benz emblem, a black belt and black trousers. The deceased didn’t have shoes.”

Motsapi adds that preliminary investigations established that the body had been dumped at the scene, adding that no arrests have been made.

“The motive of the killing is unknown, we plead with anyone who might have any knowledge of the suspect/s whereabouts or assist the police with their investigation to contact the Investigating Officer (IO) Warrant Officer (W/O) Mdungi on 071 675 7473.”

Motsapi urges anyone with a missing relative fitting the description of the deceased to contact W/O Mdungi.
