One dead, five injured in separate accidents in the Vaal

ER24 attended three separate motor vehicle collisions in the Vaal area this weekend.

“At 21:45 we were on-scene for a 29-year-old female who was seriously injured in a collision on the R553 in Vanderbijlpark.”

She was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions and transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni. SAPS were there for investigations.

– At 23:37 we were on-scene for a collision on Pierneef Road, Meyerton – three men from one vehicle in their early 20s were injured, one of them seriously.

Two were transported to Mediclinic Vereeniging and one to Kopanong for further care. Midvaal Fire & Rescue were also on the scene.

– An adult female has died, two adult males and a 37-year-old female are in a critical condition and another adult has been moderately injured in a single-vehicle rollover on the R54, Vaal Marina, on Friday night. A male toddler believed to be 3 or 4 years of age was unharmed in the incident.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 21:45 and found that three of the occupants of the Toyota Corolla had been ejected. One adult female was found trapped under the vehicle showing no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival. A critically injured 37-year-old female was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions and transported to Sebokeng Hospital for further care. Two adult males who had also suffered critical injuries were treated and transported by both Provincial Services and another private service on the scene to Sebokeng for further care. The other private service on the scene also treated and transported a moderately injured patient to Kopanong Hospital for further treatment.
