A pageant that redefines the beauty of women

Miss Egoli is a unique pageant with the core focus being entrepreneurship.

SEDIBENG.- A new pageant that aims to empower women of different statures is on its way.
The first of its kind, Miss Egoli will be hosting their first audition on 27 March 2021. The pageant is open to girls living in Gauteng that are between the ages of 14 to 29 years old. The founder of Miss Egoli, Mosa Malebo is all about female empowerment. She believes that if society invests in a girl-child by teaching and encouraging them to be entrepreneurs then they are halfway to breaking the chains of poverty, youth unemployment and domestic violence. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster , Malebo said that Miss Egoli is a unique pageant with the core focus being entrepreneurship.

The founder of Miss Egoli, Mosa Malebo is all about female empowerment. She believes that if society invests in a girl-child by teaching and encouraging them to be entrepreneurs then they are halfway to breaking the chains of poverty.

“The aim of the pageant is to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit within the contestants and help to guide them into starting their own business and ‘hustle. Miss Egoli is not about size or height, the aim is to give every girl a chance to be part of the program, through upskilling them and teaching them on the values of entrepreneurship.”

Malebo said that Miss Egoli was ready to be introduced in 2020 and due to COVID-19 it had to be postponed, but soon again the pageant gained momentum after they navigated their way through the pandemic.
“The pageant was able to find innovative ways to be regulated and finish the mission to empower young businesswomen.” The Miss Egoli crowning will take place on 4 December 2021.
