MLM has through their attorneys obtained a demolition order against the illegal development. “We have requested the sheriff to urgently serve the court order to NTHA Properties following which we will then carry out the demolitions as per the order.”
Motsamai said the municipality had started negotiations with a service provider for a quotation and preparation of the demolition.
Since July 2020 MLM has been constantly informing residents about an illegal housing development which is taking place on Portion 116 of the Farm Elandsfontein 334 IQ.
Recently, MLM’s Communication officer kagiso Korae reported that the municipality had received new information that the same company is selling stands on Portion 108 of the Farm Elandsfontein 334 IQ.
“It has recently been brought to the Municipality’s attention that Ntha Property Developers is now selling stands on Portion 108 of the Farm Elandsfontein 334 IQ.
“Similar to Portion 116 of the Farm Elandsfontein 334 IQ, the Portion 108 of the Farm Elandsfontein 334 IQ housing development is illegal with no Town Planning and Building Plans applications submitted to the Municipality for consideration.”
