ELM at a risk of losing licence to distribute electricity

The forum is represented by Jourbert Galpin Searle Attorneys, supported by PSN attorneys on behalf of ELM’s industrial customers.

Emfuleni Local Municipality’s distribution licence is hanging by the thread, this after the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) has issued a notice of a public hearing on the application for revocation and amendment of the electricity distribution licence of ELM by the Vaal Triangle Services Forum.

The forum is represented by Jourbert Galpin Searle Attorneys, supported by PSN attorneys on behalf of ELM’s industrial customers.

The members of the forum include Hall Longmore, Scaw Metals, CBI Electrical, African Cables, DCD, and M-Tec.

Due to the prevalence of the pandemic and the issuance of the related regulations by the Government, NERSA invites members of the public and stakeholders to attend and make oral representations at the virtual public hearing on the electricity distribution licence application by the Vaal Triangle Services Forum on Thursday.

Members of the public who may not be able to join the virtual meeting are requested to submit written comments to publichearings@nersa.org.za.
