Due to multiple power failures in Vanderbijlpark, ELM’s technicians are working around the clock to restore power supply.
CW 2: Power supply to CW 2 has been affected by vandalism of the substation – cables were cut and 11kv cables were damaged in the process. The municipality is procuring services to undertake urgent repairs. Expected time of restoration will only be provided after a service has been appointed and is on site to work towards restoring power supply.
CW 5, SE 2, SE 6, AND SE 7: These areas experienced a power failure when an outage affected the entire Vanderbijlpark earlier this morning. Technicians are attending to these areas to ensure power supply is restored.
BONANNE AND STEPHANOPARK: Electricity supply to these areas was interrupted by cable theft. Technicians will attend to restore power supply.
NE 3 SUBSTATION: There is a faulty 88kv breaker at the NE 3 substation and a service provider is already on site working on repairs to restore power supply. Affected areas are NE3 industrial, Boipatong, Tshepiso Phase 5.
