NWU Vaal will campaign in Motsepe League next season
This means Sedibeng will have three teams that campaign in ABC Motsepe League, namely Orange Vaal Professionals, FC RESA and the newly promoted NWU Vaal.
VANDERBIJLPARK.- Christmas came early for North West University (NWU) Vaal Football Club (FC) when they got promoted to the ABC Motsepe League.
This was after their encouraging performance during the Gauteng Promotion Play-offs which came to an end in Pretoria over the weekend. Sedibeng Ster Sport predicted that NWU Vaal will be among the three teams to be promoted to the ABC Motsepe League at the end of the play-offs.
This means Sedibeng will have three teams that campaign in ABC Motsepe League, namely Orange Vaal Professionals, FC RESA and the newly promoted NWU Vaal. This is good news for the development of football in this region. It will, however, not be the first time that NWU Vaal FC campaigns in this league. They bought an ABC Motsepe League status years ago, but got relegated the same year. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, NWU Vaal Football Manager Thomas Thema was over the moon.
“It’s a job well done to everyone especially players and coaching staff. It is a well-deserved victory taking into consideration our play-off preparations. We want to thank everyone for their support. This victory is not only about NWU Vaal but the whole of Sedibeng. We are here to stay”, said Thema.
