Certified for a worthy cause

VANDERBIJLPARK.– The Thusong Project has always supported sustainable communities and recognised the non-profit organizations that improve the quality of life in the disadvantaged communities through a variety of project and empowering programmes.

Facilitator, Daisy Makume said they have realized that most of the communities have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. “Most companies were closed down leaving families with no source of income.
“As most of the families were relying on Thusong, the project does not have enough funds or muscles. “At least through the food gardening and selling they will be able to put bread on the table.
“Thanks to Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP) for handing over R1000 vouchers to each of the graduates.”
Rebecca Tladile from GEP said their vision is to grow entrepreneurs by assisting them to register their businesses.
“No matter how small is the company, we can assist with skills.”
Enoch Ngubane from the CBI Electronics said this is the beginning of their relationship with Thusong with a hope that there’s more to come.
