Pastor’s rape case postponed, once again

Sedibeng Ster has been informed that a new investigating officer has been appointed to take over investigation.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- A rape case of a pastor who is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl has once again been postponed. The case has been postponed for December 1, much to the disappointment of the alleged victim’s family and the minority of women who protested outside the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate Court on Friday. The pastor, whose name is known to Sedibeng Ster, is accused of raping the young girl at his home in Muvhango, Bophelong in June this year. Sedibeng Ster has been following this case since the beginning and a new development in the case is that the pastor claims he was not home when the alleged rape took place. This is despite the mother claiming that he was in the house when she found her daughter naked in the toilet. The mother also submitted her evidence to the Magistrate Court where the alleged rapist pastor apologizes to her after the incident. The family was renting in the pastor’s yard. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the disenchanted mother said she is not happy with the case being postponed once again. “I must say this is becoming too much for us now.  This man is playing games and now he claims he was not home when this happened but he was in the house on that day. We submitted the evidence where he apologised and this is enough evidence that he deserves to be behind the bars. We want to be done with this case so that we can continue with our lives. This is becoming too much for us as a family,” said the mother. Sedibeng Ster has been informed that a new investigating officer has been appointed to take over investigation.
