‘Manna from heaven’ for hostel residents

“As the Heaven International Church it is our mission to visit the communities to distribute food parcels."

SEBOKENG. – ‘Manna from heaven’ came in the form of food for the Sebokeng Hostel residents when the Heaven International Church from De Deur served them lunch recently.
This initiative was part of the birthday celebration of the church’s Prophet Samuel Paul Heaven.
Young and old were served with lunch and Prophet Heaven went house to house to distribute bread to hostel residents. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Heaven said the mandate of church is to give. He said he was there not to take people’s money but to give back.
He also visited Sicelo in Meyerton and Vosloorus to distribute food parcels to the needy communities.
“As the Heaven International Church it is our mission to visit the communities to distribute food parcels. We slaughtered four cows so that we can provide these families with lunch. Apart from celebrating my birthday day with them, we have been doing this for sometimes now. This has nothing to do with lockdown but performing our duties as a church of God. It is overwhelming to see young and old people so excited. You can tell they really appreciate this, I was humbled by the community’s reaction. The Bible says give and this is exactly what we are doing as the Heaven International Church,” he said.
Winnie Mosibi,, who is one of the community members who received food on the day was full of praise for Prophet Heaven.
“I want to thank Prophet Heaven for what he has done for we people of this hostel.
“Everyone here, young and old got their lunch packs and we need churches like this in our community,” she told Sedibeng Ster.
