Security camera project in Falcon Ridge and Sonland Park

The main access route cameras will be monitored by SSG Control Room and designated SONRA Patrollers.

VEREENIGING.- Sonlandpark Residents Association (SONRA) in conjunction with Sekuriteit Sonder Grense (SSG) has completed Phase 1 of the installation of cameras in strategic areas in Falcon Ridge.

The organisation said that Phase 2 will be to upgrade existing cameras and Phase 3 upgrading cameras in Sonlandpark to a higher resolution. “This SONRA project with SSG as our service provider has been completed at considerable cost, and we ask every household  in both Falcon Ridge and Sonlandpark to become members of SONRA. The more members we can recruit the safer the community will be . Our vision is to install cameras in every street.”

The main access route cameras will be monitored by SSG Control Room and designated SONRA Patrollers. The SONRA patrollers are all volunteers and are in radio contact with each other and SSG security patrols. SONRA is also  part of the Sector 3 Vereeniging  CPF {Community Police Forum}  and are thus additional eyes and ears for the SAPS

SONRA has a service agreement with ER24 for medical emergencies.

Queries can be addressed at the SONRA table at the Centre Save complex Sonlandpark on Wednesdays 4:00 to 5:30 pm or call 081 402 0660.
