Bodies of missing children found metres apart

The motive for the killing of the little boy and the little girl is yet to be determined, while a post mortem will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death

ORANGE FARMS. – The police have launched an investigation into the murder of two children who went missing on Friday in Orange Farms.

The two were last seen walking home from a local hair salon. Their bodies were discovered on Saturday morning laying 100 metres apart.

Police Spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo  peters says, “At around 02h30 on Saturday morning, a 24-year old mother arrived at Orange Farms SAPS to report her six-year old son and an eight-year old girl who is a family friend, missing.

“Police launched an immediate search for the two children who, according to the complainant, were last seen on Friday evening around 19h00 when they were allegedly walking home from a hair salon.

“Police received a call at around 05h00am about the body of a child on the street, and shortly after that a passer-by discovered the second body about 100 metres from the other one.”

The children were declared dead by paramedics on the scene.

According to Peters, the motive for the killing of the little boy and the little girl is yet to be determined. “A post mortem will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.”
