Disabled march to Lebohang

The protesters were demanding to be addressed about the “chaotic situation" at the Lebohang Centre for the Disabled.

SEBOKENG.- Various Sedibeng disabled people’s forums took to the street and confronted the leadership of the Lebohang Centre for the Disabled in Zone 10, Sebokeng last Friday.
The protesters were demanding to be addressed about the “chaotic situation” at the Lebohang Centre for the Disabled.
The march was led by Oupa Sekhethela, Chairperson of Gauteng South Disability Forum and Jerry Cingane, Chairperson of Concern Disability Forum.
The protesters said that they wanted to blow the lid on corruption and mismanagement by the board members. The protesters also wanted to know about the chain of command at the Centre.
Lehlohonolo Malindi, who is the Secretary of the Centre was joined by other members of the board to address the protesters. The question of gender equality was also discussed. After a lengthy discussion, the protesters agreed to work with the leadership of the Centre for the benefit of its members.
