The good news is that the park reopened on 5 September, but the sad news is the that the baby giraffe died on 31 August.
Local residents celebrated with the Eco Park after the cutest baby giraffe was born in July.
As the company manages the reserve on scientific principles, they engaged the services of a veterinarian to determine the cause of death. “No signs of external trauma were visible during the macroscopic autopsy and samples were sent to a laboratory for microscopic analysis,” read an official press release.
Since the closure of the Eco Park, which was done to give the baby giraffe some space and time to settle in, there has been a new spesices (Sable) introduced to the park.
“Sable is classified as an endangered species, and the company is proud to contribute to the conservation of sable. A bull and three cows were introduced into the reserve”.
Visitors must take note that Covid-19 regulations are applicable to Eco Park, including social distancing and wearing masks. All social activities at the lapa are prohibited. Picnic spots may be used, but a limit of 10 people per spot will be allowed.
