Local Golfers are pleased to be back

Golf is one of the few sporting codes that have been allowed to return in level 2 of lockdown.

EVATON.- Despite the bad condition of the Evaton Golf Course, training has begun in earnest for golfers.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Joseph “Vistos” Setlhatlole, from the Evaton Golf Club, said as much as the condition of the course is frustrating, they still come every Saturday and Sunday to practice.
Golf is one of the few sporting codes that have been allowed to return in level 2 of lockdown.
Setlhatlole said they have started practicing on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
“It is such a great feeling to be back after months without playing. Now we have just started practicing among ourselves,but the condition of the course is bad man.
“I hope it will improve as we welcome the Spring Season. We couldn’t wait to come back to do what we love most.
“This sport brings us together, and I have made a lot of friends at the golf course.
“The lockdown really deprived us from meeting as it used to be the case before lockdown,” he said.
Setlhatlole said that they are happy that their weekends are back to normality, doing what they love, playing golf.
