The sky is the limit for Refiloe Jane

"Just when I thought my football career was stuck, God answered my prayers."

SEDIBENG.- In celebration of Women’s Month, Banyana-Banyana middlefielder/striker, Refiloe Jane, is Sedibeng Ster Sport’s guest this week.
This former Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Ladies FC player is one of the ambitious female football players who is destined for a great future in the world of football.
This became evident when she became the first South African to sign for a top Italian side when she joined AC Milan last year.
Long before her rise to fame, she graced Sedibeng Ster Sport pages when she was selected to play for Banyana-Banyana while still a student at Vaal University of Technology (VUT).
Jane is now a household name not only in South African football but also in Europe.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport via Instagram, Jane said that playing in Europe was a dream come true for her. However, she never thought she would play for one of the main powerhouses in the world, AC Milan.
Jane said the biggest highlight of her football career thus far, was being part of the South African women’s senior national team, Banyana Banyana who made history for by the first SA women’s national team to play in the Fifa Women’s World Cup. Wining the African Women Championship also goes down as one of the highlights of her football career.
“I’m really proud of what I have achieved in my career in a short space of time. Just when I thought my football career was stuck, but God answered my prayers.
“I’m grateful of what I have achieved and playing at the World Cup is the most memorable highlight of my career,” she said.
Jane thanks all the coaches who contributed to her football career before she joined the Italian side, AC Milan.
