“AK47” still much involved in boxing

He believes that this region has declined in producing great boxers as it did in the past.

SEBOKENG.- Former boxing great Aaron “AK47” Kabi, is still very much involved in boxing. When he recently spoke to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the former National Welterweight Champion said boxing is his life and that he is involved in training youngsters who are aspiring to become professional boxers. However, due to COVID-19, Kabi said they have stopped with training programs and will only resume them when they are advised to do so. He believes that this region has declined in producing great boxers as it did in the past. He blames this to a lack of resources. “I love boxing as this sport gave me everything. I’m training youngsters in Zone 10, Sebokeng, and children from some shelters around. We don’t have a gym and we train at the park. I hope one day I will have my own gym where these boys and girls will get the best training. But for now I’m trying my level best to keep them busy,” said Kabi.
