MIDVAAL. – Midvaal Local Muicipality MMC for Development and Planning, Mokete Motsamai together with various Midvaal Law Enforcement Teams, Town Planners and the SAPS Provincial Task Teams had their work cut out for them on Thursday.
This was as they clamped down on illegal shebeens and drug hot spots in Henley on Klip. The operation follows complaints from members of the community regarding the violation of Lock-down regulations which currently prohibit the sale of alcohol.
Some residents have since welcomed the initiative saying that it should spread to other areas in the Midvaal vicinity, others said that people selling alcohol should be left alone as they are just trying to make a living.
