For the better part of August the country will be chanting this slogan in celebrating women in sports, politics, entertainment and ordinary women.

Carol “Simply the Best” Tshabalala will go down as one of the celebrated women to have come from Sedibeng.This television personality grew up in Bonnane near Vanderbijlpark before rising to fame.She has become one of the few best female presenters to be involved in football.

She is now household name in television industry working for the SuperSport Channel. Tshabalala has established herself along the great football presenters in the world. Her football knowledge distinguishes her from the rest of her peers. Tshabalala started her television career at SABC before she joined SuperSport in a move which saw her career being recognized even abroad.Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Tshabalala said, from a young age, it was always her dream to be on the television screen. In her illustrious career, she has been invited to be the MC at FIFA event such as World Cup draws. “It was always my dream to be on TV. I’m living my childhood dream and I’m grateful for the opportunity. But I don’t see myself as been a success but, living my dream,” said Tshabalala.

With football’s return this weekend, Tshabalala will be back on our television screens, doing what she loves.
