VANDERBIJLPARK. – Jamela Rehabilitation Center in Vanderbijlpark recently celebrated two years of existence. The celebratory occasion was held at at Mullerstuin smalholdings.
The Director of the Centre, George Sibanda, said the road to celebrating 2 years was not achieved on a clean slate.
“It is not by our wisdom alone but through the power God that we made it to this point. We are proud of the recognition conferred on us by other organizations.” Sibanda also thanked the staff and board members and Indibano as well as Vanderbijlpark Trauma Counselling Empowerment Centre for their invaluable contributions to the Jamela Rehabilitation Center.
“Soon, we will use a mobile clinic, to extend our service to the communities as far as Heidelberg.”
Jamela Rehabilitation Center services include detoxification amongst other processes.
Sibanda and other speakers also touched on the subject of gender based violence.
