It’s education first for Dlamini

Dlamini said her priority is to complete her studies so that she can concentrate on football.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – Precious Dlamini is one of the talented local female football players and many expect her success to follow in the footsteps of the likes of former Banyana-Banyana defender, Rose “Pona” Jijane.
Just like Jijane, Dlamini started her football career playing with and against boys from the age of 13.
In recent years, her promising football career saw her being selected for the Sedibeng Ster’s Sports Star of the Year Finalist’ in the u/15 girl’s category.
This NWU Vaal Sports Management student has a promising future ahead of her and might head to the USA after she finishes her studies as one of the USA Colleges is interested in this 22-year-old striker’s services.
Her career reached new heights when she moved to the Free State and joined the Bloemfontein Celtics Ladies FC that campaigns in the Sasol Women’s League, however, because she wanted to complete her studies, she came back home.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Dlamini said her priority is to complete her studies so that she can concentrate on football.
“I enjoyed my stay at Bloemfontein Celtics, but I had to come back to finish my studies. We all know that there must be a balance between football and education. I have been told by my coach that there is a team that wants to sign me in the USA and I have already submitted some videos and we will take it from there. I am very excited, but I still see myself playing for Banyana-Banyana in the near future. I think growing up playing with and against boys gives me an advantage,” said Dlamini. Dlamini is now registered with NWU Vaal Ladies FC.
