Football Indaba for Sedibeng

Football administrators and coaches alike have been calling for a football Indaba in Emfuleni.

SEBOKENG.- For years now, football administrators and coaches alike have been calling for a football Indaba in Emfuleni, however this has not been possible as this has seemingly been falling on deaf ears.
However, with Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) Chairperson, Jabu Mgcina, now as the man in power, the Indaba is likely to take place after the COVID-19 lockdown. Sedibeng Ster Sport has learned that this is on top of Mgcina’s list of things to do after the lockdown. There are lot of positive developments in the ELFA since Mgcina took over from the previous leadership.
Mgcina together with his executive committee have transformed this troublesome organization into a smooth-running machine. Some of the positive developments he has brought at the association is to allow the appointment of female staff at top positions in the ELFA.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mgcina confirmed that the Football Indaba is his first priority after lockdown.
“We need to come up with a plan to revive football in Emfuleni and Sedibeng as a whole. We need everyone to make this happen including master’s football organizations, tournament’s organizers, coaches, players, supporters and businesses people,” said Mgcina.
Meanwhile, it is still not clear when the development leagues will resume.
SAFA President, Danny Jordaan, has said that amateur football has to wait until further notice.
