VEREENIGING. – ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring reports that 12 people were injured this morning after a taxi overturned in Houtkop Road, Vereeniging.
“ER24 paramedics, along with Provincial Services, arrived on the scene shortly after 08h00 to find the taxi lying on its side on the side of the road. Several passengers were found seated next to the vehicle.
“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that all twelve had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.”
Patients were treated for their injuries and transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
