Captain Moopeloa retires after 32 years’ service

EVATON.-  As of today, June 30, Evaton SAPS Corporate Communication officer , Captain Aubrey Moopeloa has retired from the  South African Police Service (SAPS).

At the age of 56 and with 32 years’ service as a dedicated and loyal member of the SAPS, Moopeloa says that it is time to hand over the baton.

“Thanks to my relatives, my family and everyone, especially my wife who supported me through thick and thin. God bless the management of Evaton police and the South African Police Service in general.”

Captain Moopeloa joined the police in 1988. He started serving the community of Vaal at the Houtkop (Sebokeng) Police Station, went to the Krugersdorp Divisional Office for two years before he transferred to the Vanderbijlpark Police Station where he served for a year before transferring to the Sharpeville Police Station where he served for a year.

In 2012 he transferred to the Evaton Police Station where he has served, to date.

“It has been a very good experience to work with community both with law abiding citizens and against criminals. The love of the community you serve at HEART is the power behind the willingness. It has always been my interest to serve the community with dignity and respect and to defend the policy of the organization I love so much. I will miss the blue uniform, the community I served for so long, my colleagues, the media industry and volunteers of the CPF structures I loved so much.”
