Two arrested for suspected robbery

It is sad that whilst patrolling around De Deur policing precinct police spotted a suspicious vehicle.

DE DEUR. The De Deur Police arrested two suspects aged between 34 and 44 and charged them with business robbery and possession of stolen goods recently.
It is sad that whilst patrolling around De Deur policing precinct police spotted a suspicious vehicle. Police Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Tshegofatso Maliehe said that they stopped and searched the vehicle, only to discover stolen items.
“The members, Sergeants Selaelo and Mpebe and Constable Jabulani Bulwane. They questioned the suspects about the items and arrested and charged them with possession of stolen property as they could not produce proof of ownership for the items.”
Maliehe further said that on the same morning at about 10:00 the De Deur police station received and attended a complaint of fighting on arrival they discovered a man tied both hands and feet and put in the storeroom at lifestyle Uhuru Guesthouse.
“As the police interviewed him, he explained that he was robbed by unknown men in the early hours of the morning, all of the items he was mentioning were the same as those that were found by the police in the early hours.”

The suspects will appear at Vereeniging magistrate court soon
