Mzion Mofokeng supporters join fight against COVID-19

SEDIBENG.- With no church services since the lockdown, Mzion Mofokeng Supporters Branch of Orlando Pirates took the initiative to donate food parcels to the Zone 13 community.

The branch was named after the late Johannes “Mzion” Mofokeng, Orlando Pirates No 1 Supporter.

Mzion Mofokeng Supporters spokesperson, Martha “Mydudu” Letsele said they helped families whose children depended on feeding scheme at school.

She said they managed to donate more than 20 food parcels to the Zone 13 and surrounding communities.

“We are aware that most of the families their children were depending on feeding scheme. This is the reason why we decided to do something for those families and as branch we contributed certain amount from our own pockets and buy these food parcels for them.

“We are happy that we managed to feed more than 20 families and we intend to continue with this initiative. It is not a secret our people are starving out there. As Mzion Mofokeng Branch that we also managed to help one of the former soccer players Ntate Satch Modise after we learned from Sedibeng Ster that he was not well,” she said.

They believed those food parcels at least will lasted them for the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, Letsele said as Orlando Pirates supporters they miss football and they can’t wait for football to restart.
