Drug dealer (39) arrested in Vanderbijlpark

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The South African Police Services (SAPS) Sedibeng District Head, Major General Zodwa Molefe is a pleased woman after a drug peddler was removed from the streets today, 9 May.

The Vanderbijlpark SAPS Crime Prevention Unit’s Sergeant Ramcharane and his team arrested a 39-year-year-old Nigerian national in SW1, Vanderbijlpark. Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Thembeka Koago said that the police received a tip off about a house where drugs were being sold in the area and upon their arrival at the residence they found dagga, drugs and cash amounting to R 5 191.

“The suspect was arrested and charged with dealing and being in possession of drugs. The Sedibeng District Major General Molefe appreciates the members for their excellent work, determination in achieving the best and working together with the community.”

Suspect will appear before the Vanderbijlpark magistrate of court on Monday, May 11.
