SAFA and PSL – way forward!

South African Football Association (SAFA) and Premier Soccer League (PSL) "agreed" to work together. This was revealed by the SAFA President Danny Jordaan following a meeting with PSL Chairman Irvin Khoza.

The meeting comes after the Minister of Sports Nathi Mthethwa appealed for collective decisions between SAFA and PSL. Mthethwa said he told both Irvin Khoza and Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Kaizer Motaung that when they come to him, they must come with one voice. Jordaan said SAFA and PSL agreed to meet with the Minister of Sports for away forward. He said there is no way SAFA will submit a report to FIFA about COVID-19 in football without PSL input.

“I had the meeting with PSL Chairman I told him lets work together and he agreed to meet with the Minister of Sports to deal with this. There is no way, we as SAFA to go to FIFA without PSL input for the way foward,” he concluded.
