There is no indication when sporting activities will resume with the country moved from Level 5 to Level 4 of the lockdown. Everything has come to a standstill in sports with all municipality facilities across the country remaining under the lockdown.

This could be the end of season especially 2020/2021 football season. SAFA has invited the opinion of two medical experts to submit report on when it would be safe to resume playing football in the country. SAFA inidicated that they will work with government lead by the Minister Of Sports and Culture Nathi Mthethwa.

Then they will submit a full report to the world football governing body FIFA on the impact of COVID-19 on football in the country and when SAFA believes it will be safe to resume football again. This is going to be a challenge to the development football clubs across the country.
