The incident happened in Sebokeng Zone 11 at the victim’s parental home. It is believed that the woman wanted to leave the suspect.
Police spokesperson Constable Busisiwe Sango says, ” Police have launched an investigation into the attempted murder of the 35-year-old woman. This is after police received a call of a shooting incident.
“On arrival at the scene, police found a woman who had sustained gun-shot wounds. She was later taken to a nearby hospital by Emergency Services.”
Sango confirms that upon the arrival of the police, the suspect had already fled the scene.
Sango urged anyone who may have information about the incident to contact the nearest police station.
