SA lockdown: First weekend of the lockdown

Despite the recommendations of the State President, the first day of Lockdown saw many people queuing up outside stores to buy food.

Many people complained that too little time was allowed for them to conduct emergency shopping. Others complained that they were still waiting for their monthly pay, it is only thereafter that police would start patrolling streets to nab people who are still out and about.
