Pregnant woman stabbed

BOIPATONG.- Boipatong Police were called to a domestic violence in progress in Phase 3 on Tuesday morning at around 05:48. On arrival police found a heavily pregnant women lying on a bed and her intestines were out as a result of the stabbing.

While checking the house the man was found leaning against the wall he was also bleeding from the neck and stomach. The man alleged that they were fighting with his girlfriend and the girlfriend stabbed him and herself. Two knives were confiscated.

The victim was taken to Sebokeng Hospital with serious injuries as she was pregnant, she lost the baby due to injuries she sustained. The 29-year-old suspect was arrested and is under high police guard at Sebokeng Hospital. “Boipatong police condemns the kills of women and children, we call upon our brothers, fathers, uncles to join us in making sure that all women and children are safe and secure to live in Boipatong.”
