Four injured in head-on collision

SASOLBURG.- Four people were injured this morning, one of them seriously, when a light motor vehicle collided head-on with a taxi on Stompie Seipei Street in Zamdela, Sasolburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with the Provincial Services, arrived on the scene at 08:50 to find both the light motor vehicle and taxi in the middle of the road.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the driver of the taxi had sustained minor injuries. The driver of the light motor vehicle, a woman, had sustained serious injuries while a man and 5-month-old boy had sustained minor injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured woman with pain-relief medication. Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
