SASOLBURG. – After months of hard work by the organisers and the finalists of the annual Mr & Miss Vaal Pageant, the winners of the six divisions have been chosen. The glamorous gala evening, with the theme “The Royal     Affair”, was held at the Etienne Rousseau Theatre in Sasolburg over the weekend. On Friday, 20 September the finalists in the Miss Petite and Mr & Miss Teens divisions dazzled the judges. On Saturday, 21 September the finalists in the Miss, Mr and Mrs Vaal divisions took to the stage. Approximately 900 guests attended the crowning evenings. The winners of the various divisions are: Miss Petite – Tshiamo Makgalamele Miss Teen – Lindiwe Bikitsha Mr Teen – Rupert Bronkhorst Miss Vaal – Ané Oosthuysen Mr Vaal – Dylan Kleynhans Mrs Vaal – Riëtte Theunissen New Vaal Motors is sponsoring Miss Vaal 2019/ 20, Ané    Oosthuysen, with a Smart For Four for the use of one year. Short Term Trust Brokers sponsors the insurance of the Smart For Four for the year. The Miss Teen finalists had the opportunity to    showcase Coleen Pienaar’s designs. The Mr Teens & Mr Vaal finalists were dressed and sponsored by Markham, Vaal Mall. Mariska Pfahl from Mariska Pfahl Couture outdone herself and designed 15 new dresses for the Miss Vaal finalists. Marius from Designs by Marius, designed and made the Mrs Vaal finalists dresses and showpieces. Mariska Pfahl Couture will be dressing Ané Oosthuysen, and Marius de Jager will be dressing Riëtte Theunissen during their year of reign. Doll me up Fashions sponsored the Miss Vaal and Mrs Vaal finalists each with a swimsuit and VIA beach shoes. The two male winners, Rupert Bronkhorst and Dylan Kleynhans, each received an outfit from Markham, Vaal Mall. Ocean Basket, Vanderbijlpark, Wilco Transport, Ingwe Lodge & Curves sponsored the winners with cash prizes. Signature Cosmetics, Thandeka’s Cosmetics, Sorbet Vaal Mall, Kalahari skin care products, Roman Pizza and Soma Sense    Academy spoiled the winners with hampers and vouchers. Three Rivers Lodge and Anna’s Kitchen were also on board with their vouchers and breakaway packages. Curves for Woman, Vanderbijlpark sponsored the  Mrs Vaal winners with vouchers. Creative Costumes sponsored the Miss Vaal corsets. AHA Hotels and Resort sponsored eight breakaways for the winners to Cape Town. Vaal Mall gave all six division winners a shopping voucher to treat themselves. B Spoilt and Soma Sense Academy were responsible for the Saturday’s evenings finalists hair and make-up. B Spoilt will be looking after Ané Oosthuysen and Dylan Kleynhans hair during their reigning year valued at R35 000. ONS Printers and Graphic Imprint sponsored the printing work, posters and banners. Ink Graphics and Fat Cake City sponsored the 30 winners’  trophies and sashes. * The media sponsors are Vaalweekblad, Ster, 90.6FM and VUT FM.
