Police investigate after siblings die of poisoning
The police in Vanderbijlpark have launched an inquest after two siblings, Lucas Mosikidi (6) and Lerato Mosikidi (3) died of poisoning on Monday.
VANDERBIJLPARK. – The police in Vanderbijlpark have launched an inquest after two siblings, Lucas Mosikidi (6) and Lerato Mosikidi (3) died of poisoning on Monday.
According to police Spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, a post-moterm was conducted and confirmed this. “The SAPS has received the post-moterm results which indicate that both the kids died from poisoning. More tests will be conducted to find out which specific food they consumed contained the poison.”
Makhale said that both the kids started to get sick in the Vanderbijlpark CBD, “Lerato was taken to a local hospital where she died on arrival. Lucas was taken to a local doctor’s surgery and he also lost his life on arrival.”
Makhale said that the the police are appealing to members of the community to allow the investigation to take its course.
