Business robbery suspects nabbed

VANDERBIJLPARK. – Swift reaction from the members of D-Relief under the command of Lt.Col. Molotsi and Capt Manwadu have yielded good results.  Three Business  Robbery suspects were nabbed yesterday on 15 August, following a Business Robbery that took place in the CBD at 18:00, when the store was about to close.

It is alleged that two suspects got inside the store pretended to be customers, when one suspect cocked the firearm, instructed the employees to lay down as this is a robbery.  One suspect opened the door for five more accomplices to enter.  The total number of suspects was seven.  The suspects ransacked the store and took car radios, video camera modem, while other suspects were interrogating the owner and employees about the whereabouts of the safe.

While busy robbing in the store our police arrived and a shootout ensued where one suspect was shot, other suspects fled the scene and were chased by police members who managed to arrest two more suspects +-500m away from the scene.  Suspects are coming from far as Pretoria.  They are between 25-41 years of age.  Stolen items were dropped by the suspects outside the store while they were chased by Police.  This was a heroic work indeed from our Constables and Sergeant.

The Acting Station Commander Col. Peter Mmboyi applauded the good work done by the members, this shows that Vanderbijlpark SAPS members don’t tolerate crime.
