GAUTENG.- At 07:45 Thursday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the M13 Luipaardsvlei in Krugersdorp.
Reports from the scene indicate that multiple vehicles were involved in a collision.
Paramedics assessed all the scene and found that one person an adult male sustained serious injuries with two other patients sustaining moderate injuries.
Due to the condition of the seriously injured patient, the Netcare 1 Specialised Helicopter Air Ambulance was activated to airlift him to a specialist facility.
The road had been closed by the Mogale traffic police and the Mogale Fire and Rescue Services to allow the helicopter to land near the scene.
The two patients that had sustained moderate injuries were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
