SEDIBENG.- South African Lloyd Harris, alongside his Norwegian partner Casper Ruud, bowed out of the Wimbledon doubles in the first round in London on Thursday.
The pair lost to Mexican Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela and Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador, going down 7-6 (3) 6-1 6-3 6-4 in four sets at the All England Tennis Club.
Harris also suffered a first round loss to Roger Feder in the singles event on Tuesday.
On Friday, the fourth seeded Kevin Anderson will be in action against Guido Pella from Argentina in the men’s singles third round while third seeded pair of Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus (New Zealand) take on Australians, Lleyton Hewitt and Jordan Thompson, in the second round stages in the doubles.
