Sedibeng ANC members march to Luthuli House

SEDIBENG.- A crowd of more than 1 000 members of the African Nation Congress (ANC) in Sedibeng marched to the ANC Headquarters, Luthuli House, in Johannesburg to hand over a memorandum of their demands recently.
Their memorandum was expected to be received by ANC Secretary General, Ace Magashule but due to his unavailability it was received by NEC member, Dakota Lekgoete on his behalf.
Amongst the demands of the marchers was:
• The immediate reinstatement of the disbanded Regional Executive Committee (REC)
•The implementation of the Vaal River City
•Reindustrialisation of the Vaal through declaration of Special Economic Zones(SEZ)
•Development of a proper transport system which will include new railway network, Bus rapid Transport, Airport and Logistics Hub, tarring of streets and refurbishment of storm water in the whole of Vaal
•Revival of the collapsed Evaton Renewal Project (ERP)
•The implementation of the ANC 2019 elections manifesto
