On Monday 10 June 2019 the two Sergeants Siyakudumisa Sobekwa and Tshokolo Thupa was busy with crime prevention duties in Evaton.
Members were doing crime prevention patrol duties on Golden highway when they followed up information of a Red Golf 5 that was hi jacked in Bophelong, Vanderbijlpark. Information was followed until the vehicle was spotted in Evaton where a chase between them and the suspects ensued.
The suspects lost control of the vehicle and landed in a drain ditch and the suspects managed to flee the scene. The vehicle was thoroughly searched and one (01) 9MM Star pistol with 8 life rounds was recovered. The vehicle and firearm were confiscated. The Investigations continue. Community members are requested to report any criminal activities to their local SAPS stations or call 10111 Emergency line.
