VANDERBIJLPARK. – June 17 is a public holiday and just the right day to honour our four legged friends at Wiggle Waggle Day.
This fun-filled annual event takes place at Stonehaven-on-Vaal and all proceeds are in aid of the SPCA in Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark.
There will be dog competitions, doggie awards and doggie stalls. Come have a look at the best tricks, the Mutt of the Day and the “owner and dog look-alike” competition.
The annual Doggie Walk starts at 09:00. Join other dog lovers for a 3 km relaxed fun walk along the banks of the Vaal River. (Please note, all doggies to be kept on a lead at all times).
There will be lots of fun for children, such as tree houses, kiddies games, trampolines, Dr Doolittle’s Diner, inflatables and complimentary arts and crafts.
A variety of cruises will also be available. Interesting stalls, breakfast, light meals, craft beers and drinks will be available throughout the day.
Entrance is R20 for adults and children. The entry fee for the various doggie competitions is R20 per dog.
