SEBOKENG. – The police in Sebokeng have condemned the recent killing of two males by a mob in Zone 12 last week. It is alleged the pair were suspected to have been part of a common robbery earlier that morning.
Police spokeperson Captain Teboho Lephoto says, “We can confirm that the incident where two young men were attacked and killed by a mob at Sebokeng 12 did take place.”
Lephoto adds that a case of double murder has been opened and no suspects have been arrested as yet. “Investigation are ongoing. The Station Commander wishes to state categorically, that he condemns in the strongest terms the acts of mob justice in his policing precinct, therefore he appeals to the community at large to desist from such and work together with the police.”
