Residents, take note: Rand Water Shutdown of B11 pipeline

"Due to the duration of the shutdown certain areas may experience a shortage of water or low water pressure" - Rand Water

Residents of certain areas in the Vaal Triangle and surrounds should take note that Rand Water has scheduled a 54-hour planned shutdown on its B11 pipeline from this morning until Wednesday, 1 May 2019.
The installation will allow for Rand Water’s technicians to install a 2000 mm valve on the pipeline. During this period, Rand Water’s Vereeniging Pump Station will shut down its Number 4 station.
“We do not envisage any loss of water supply during this period. However, due to the duration of the shutdown certain areas may experience a shortage of water or low water pressure,” says a spokesperson for Rand water.
The following municipalities have been advised of the shutdown:
City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, Mogale City Local Municipality, Rand West Local Municipality, Merafong City Local Municipality, Emfuleni Local Municipality, Rustenburg Local Municipality and the Metsimaholo Local Municipality.
