On Tuesday 12 February 2019, members of Sedibeng Flying Squad arrested one suspect with dagga.
Warrant Officer Willem De Beer and Constable Anthea Van Der Merwe was busy with crime prevention duties in lakeside De Deur. They received information that someone was selling drugs to school children. They proceeded to Mfuzi Street and found one (01) male suspect in the street matching the description. They searched the suspect and found ninety four (94) small zip lock bags filled with dagga with the estimate of R15 each. Seven (07) medium zip lock bags filled with dagga with a value of R30 each and one (01) large zipp lock bag with dagga value R100. The suspect was arrested on the scene and detained at De Deur SAPS.
The total street value of the drugs that was confiscated is approximately R1720.

The 34 year old suspect appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrate Court on charges of possession and dealing with dagga.
