Truck and taxi collide leaving twenty injured

VANDERBIJLPARK. – Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24 reported that twenty people were left injured this morning, 6 December,  following a collision between a taxi and truck at the R553 and R57 intersection in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find both the taxi and truck on the side of the road. The passengers from the taxi were seated on the side of the road.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that twenty people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
