Just Dance Studio’s students to take part in SA Championships

These three dancers from Just Dance Studio (Three Rivers), are amongst the 20 Top Gauteng Dancers who recently received their Gauteng Provincial Colours from Dance Sport South Africa.

VEREENIGING. – Three dancers from Just Dance Studio (Three Rivers), are amongst the 20 Top Gauteng Dancers who recently received their Gauteng Provincial Colours from Dance Sport South Africa. They are Elizma Du Preez (9), Tegan Meyer (12) and Aeran Ovens (13).
These dynamic young dancers are trained in a 12 dance programme which was originally known as Solo Dança Latina and is now recognized as International Solo DanceSport. These styles include classic dances such as Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet and Spanish, Solo Latin American dances, such as Jive, Samba, Paso Doble and Cha Cha, as well as Energy Styles which include Energy, Slow Style, Bhangra and Hip Hop.
These talented girls will be representing their province at the South African Championships which will be held in Margate in mid December. They will be participating in all the styles mentioned above and will also be part of the Gauteng Interprovincial Team Match which sees the Top 20 Dancers from each province battle it out to win the overall Team Championship title.
Their coach, Meghan Sim-Evans, says she is extremely proud of their achievements. “It is due to their hard work, dedicated hours of training and a desire to be the best, that has paid off and earned them their very well deserved provincial colours,” says Meghan.
